Screen flicker............

What is the most likely cause of screen flicker ?
It seems to be slowly getting worse and as it happens on both of my computers I suspect that my monitor is on the way out

Is it of a stable frequency and continuous or intermittent? Have you tried changing the refresh rate for your monitor at all?

Might be from having speakers standing next to the monitors.

Turns out it was the refresh rate, which I have now changed from 60 to 75Hz and everything is fine.
