Mischief-making?

I've received an unsolicited email (no attachment) from the Military Watch Company thanking me for my enquiry and advising that they will definately [sic] get back to me within 24 hours.

Anyone else had a similar experience or know of the likely origins?

BUMPFF,

I have seen emails like that before. Your email has either been spoofed or someone is signing you up so they get a referral fee, or it is just an email targeted at finding out if your email is a valid email, so they can sell it to the Spam lists.

Take Care,

Richard
