Scanner Advice
Hi All
This is the only non specific technical forum so i hope that some of you guys can help me. My question is regarding Airband Scanners.
I currently have a Maycom AR108 and i am looking to upgrade it to a newer and better device. The ar108 is good but i need a more serious device for listening in on the airband.
Budget is approx $250 or 150 uk pounds. Main requirements
Good Airband recepetion
Preset Channels (Ability to save freqs)
Wide Frequency Bands
also if possible software to connect to a laptop for configuration/logging
Would anybody have any suggestions? I've looked at the YAESU VR-120D but i'm not so convinced..
Thanks in Advance

A thread entitled Scanner help might reasonably expected to be concerned with resolution, bit-depth etc.
Still, if you get the answer to your question...

Unfortunatley your comment is indeed unhelpful..
What with the general aviation tone of this site I should think that a post entitled "Scanner" could be taken for the body of the post.. A little bit sad that you must judge my post by the title and not the content of it.
If the post doesn't relate or apply to you, please leave it and don't waste your time sending disparaging replies.
A lot of people on this forum enjoy aviation and passing on knowledge in a friendly and respectful way. My aim was to tap into both technical and aviation knowledge.
Nothing ventured nothing gained..
