Web Pages
Right. Little direction needed here. I have a qualification in Web Design. Clever bean eh? My girlfriend (El), goes to a Young Enterprise thing. its hard to explain but basically her and some other teens are "sponsored" to do a big project. It helps with school.
She has to make a business up on the internet which has a database of teens who are looking for work. Big companies go to this website, and after paying the sign-up fee to the members only area, have access to the CVs of people who have been added to the website looking for work.
The addressed are not supplied of the individuals. Read below.
She has asked me to make the web page. Or at least show them how to do it. I know how to make them, etc, but what would be handy is some links to websites with advanced informations and HTML coding for the following part of the website...:-
* Having the homepage use a login username and password for users who have paid. A "join here" button linked to a page to sign up and once signed up, an email sent after pressing the submit button, to these teens who will do the bits there end and send user names and passwords to the new business users. This will obviously be a secure internet page as payment details will be given!
Perhaps the gentleman who made PPRuNe would care to get in touch with me? Or SeatofMyPants. You work in this field dont you?!!
My email is availbile (or phone number) if you PM me with some useful help and require such info.
Thanks wholeheartedly for any help.
Smooth skies,
Dan

Try www.brinkster.com this supports asp, access and has links to a host of help info and its free.
I have used it to develop some ideas of using the web to host a database and control entry to it.
Good luck

Over 1000 posts and I bought this Personal Title to try and tell my mother the embarrassing news that I am a closet Jazz fan.

If you really fancy a challenge then you could do it in struts.
Other than that have a look for .pdf's on one of the file sharing networks (kazaa-lite etc). You never know what you might find......
