palm pda software - how do I enter a flight spanning midnight in the calendar?
Help please!
I'm a long time psion user with a 5mx on its third broken screen ribbon. The time has come to move on...
I'm waiting for the Handspring Treo 600 to be launched by Orange to combine pda and phones into one easily lost package (and yes, handspring don't intend launching a bluetooth or wifi SD card for it so it has a user life of about 6 months I guess...).
From my research to date I have a big reservation about the Palm OS. I cannot enter my roster on the calendar (agenda) software because "events" (my flights usually are) can't span midnight. Is this correct? It was a fault of early generation psions but soon fixed and not a problem with windows mobile pda's. A pretty fundamental flaw for any shift worker.
I also can't retro tweak flight times to the nearest minute to record on and off block times, only to the closest 5 minutes.
Is there a fix? Alternative calendar software designed for shiftworkers? (!)
Finally, there seems to be plenty of pro logbook packages for stateside ATPL's on twocows and other sites but less so for UK CAA regulated pilots. Anyone know of any UK packages?
Thanks chaps.

You can't.
Or rather, I tried on my Palm Vx and failed.
Eventual solution was BOTTOMS - Back On To The Old Manual System. Dusted down the trusty Filofax for a new lease of life.

You can have a shift over midnight.
You will have to use an alternate datebook
datebk5 is one and there are a few others.
They have a few other bells and whistles as well but do cost.
Not sure if they implement refinement to the minute (I doubt it)
I just add a note to the item and use a shortcut to boilerplate text
A/C
Day
Ngt
On
Off
Apps
and then fill in the details.
You can get real smart and extract this data from the desktop if you wish.
Aside from that they are a great toy ...whoops I meant tool
