Internet Explorer Issues
Well Microsoft is blaming Sony ("the OEM") and Orbitz.com is blaming Microsoft. I have no problems visiting and loading most web pages. Recently www.orbitz.com just stopped loading. It hangs with the load bar about half way loaded.
I uninstalled spwareblaster as I thought that might be the problem (an anti-spyware application); deleted all cookies, temporary internet files, and history files. No luck
I even made orbitz.com a trusted site and set all cookie settings to low. I set orbitz.com to "Always Allow". No luck
It has something to do with cookie and/or java script permissions but I'm ******ed if I can figure it out and Microsoft email support is as useful as a chocolate frying pan.
Any ideas guys?
Ozzy

Ozzy,
Have you tried updating Internet Explorer? Sometimes loading the latest SP can help. You could also try lowering the security on Internet Explorer and accept cookies from Orbiz.
There are two other things worth a try:
Lavasoft's Ad-Aware
and
Trend Micro's HouseCall
Take Care,
Richard

Sounds like what I get with ZoneAlarm when it flexes its muscles. If you've got ZAPro or some other Firewall, try resetting it to defaults or even disabling it temporarily to prove or disprove its involvement.

works ok for me with spyware blaster installed, and zone alarm standard. have you tried accessing it from another browser? I have netscape for the occasional site that doesn't seem to agree with aol/IE.
been thinking about getting opera which has active x and java disabled features.
hee hee, just tried it in netscape and got this
java isn't my thing but i think line 30 is something to do with that pop up ad that comes on
try disabling the java completely, to see what happens.
perhaps as fobotcso suggests changing firewall settings might help. on some FTP sites i have to lower zone alarms internet security zone off stealth.
if it is the ad that's at fault, how ironic that they are losing business because of it!

JavaScript Error: http://www.orbitz.com/, line 30:
