The first thing is that there are plenty of Dominican pilots available......, second is that the salary is the lowest paid in the region....., third is that they don't have the capital to support a price war to take market share..., now that they have the authorization to fly to the US.., the majors will pile on them.

Well... As predicted, PAWA was shut down by the authorities in the DR. They owe money to everyone and their sister.
Looks to be the beginning of the end.
Very sad, many good people working there but it isn't a surprise.
