Dash 8 into Bequia
Quick question - any of you aviators put an 8-100/300 into Bequia??
Is it possible?? Would I want to??
Currently the strip was/is in terrible shape. Sure it has seen better days!
Thanks

AirportLinger.com - Port Elizabeth Bequia (BQU), Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and length is about 3500 ft if i remember.. no stopways etc!! your in the sea either side!!
Its not the longest reclaimed land from the sea runway, some great potholes, has a great big hill on the north side and on t/o, and the approach is over some tight terrain... where u get some crazy winds coming off.. My advice would be to fly into St.Vincent a few minutes north, and get a boat ferry across (30 mins) or use Mustique or Svg to charter across there 5 mins with a islander!!

LIAT used to take the DASH8 into W.H. Bramble (Blackburne) Airport (TRPM) in Montserrat. It was 3380' before the volcano rendered it unusable. Bequia is around 3600', so I would think it is possible.
