Bahamasair get 737-500s

Recently read news that Bahamasair is replacing their 737-200s with 500 series aircraft coming from Argentina.
My buddy at UP tells me they look beat up and very well worn out, but hopes a cleanup and a lick of paint will make them look a little more presentable.
The first one is due for delivery either now or is already on its way. Unveiling ceremony due for the 28th March.

The below graphic was done to illustrate what it will look like for said buddy, as well as a 700 series, which he wishes they would get instead.

He actually recommended the 300 series, but was told “we can’t fill them”, which my buddy cannot understand as they often have to turn passengers away due to being overbooked.
