LIALPA/LIAT

Rumor has it that LIALPA chairman has been fired by LIAT, anyone has any info on that one?

Could that be why LIAT were on strike yesterday?

A newspaper says that the pilots are upset because the company had used their pension money in a failed investment. A few days later the bloke who complained got stiched up with some false accusation regarding his flying behaviour and fired.

Knowing the newspaper involved, I daresay the report is probably not totally reliable, but if the pilot's pension pot has evaporated, they may well be rather cross.

The article failed to mention whether the C.E.O used the money to prop up the company, or merely did something such as put it on a horse......
