Hi all,
My friend in Argentina is trying to translate the terms below for an aero engineering web site and asked for my help. My technical knowledge is fairly good but having never studied aerodynamics in Spanish it has proved pretty difficult. Any help would be much appreciated.
Calculo de aerodinamica = aerodynamic calculation
Calculo de desempeņo= performance calculation
Calculo de carga= load calculation
calculo estructural= structural calculation
modelado 3D = 3D modeling
ensayo en vuelo= flight test
calculos de estabilidad y control= stability and control calculations
electronica embarcada= onboard electronics
velocidad de perdida= Stall Speed (abbreviated Vs)
angulo de perdida= Stall Angle or Critical Angle of Attack (los dos son iguales)
polar de arrastre= drag curve
polar de velocidades= vector diagram (not 100% sure but makes sense)
curva de la tasa de planeo= Lift/Drag Curve
maxima tasa de planeo = Maximum Glide Ratio (also Maximum Ratio of Lift/Drag)
minima velocidad de hundimiento= Minimum Rate of Decent
alcance y autonomia del avion = aircraft range and endurance
calculos de extractores y ventiladores (fans) = No estoy seguro, something like "calculation of net thrust"
