Aerolineas Sosa- La Ceiba, Honduras

Looks like Aerolineas Sosa has acquired some CRJ-100s and Saab 340B's and has recently advertised (June 24) for both a Lead Mechanic and Captains and First Officers for these types. La Ceiba probably would be a pretty enjoyable place to be for a few years.

Doesn't look like it. This information was from Pilot Jobs, Aviation Jobs, Aviation Employment, Career Fairs, Job Fairs but didn't elaborate. I imagine they are fishing for type rated, experienced and current personnel for all positions.

SOSA - La Ceiba

was in Ceiba on Monday, the RJ came in while we were on the ramp, looks nice (compared to all the other Hardware that is around that airport)

I would imagine that it will be quite some time before any newcomer would get his or her hands on that RJ, given all the other stuff that SOSA has! I'm sure there are a lot of pilots in the company that have been waiting for some time to get onto new equipment.

Hi flufdriver!

Actually, they were advertising for experienced crews on both the Saab and the CRJ. I am sure that they will transfer guys from other types in due course, but in the meantime, they are doing the prudent thing by getting an experienced (on type) initial cadre of crew rather than having the Let drivers turn the CRJ into a lawn dart during the first month.
