Question September 11th and Brazil?

How are things going in that part of the world after the attacks? I know that RG wanted to cut a lot of people and Embraer - without making any loss - just less profit - as no order is cancelled, just "re-scheduled" thought that to be a good reason to cut personel and give the blame on the attack. Aside from that I don't know much more.

So anyone care to comment?

AB,

You are right. Things here are pretty much the same as they were before September 11th. VARIG had planned to cut 1700 jobs (10% of their employees) before the terrorist attack in the U.S. occured. Their international flights are full (brazilians are afraid of flying with other airlines).
Embraer is the only that felt the impact of what happened, because the airlines are cancelling their orders.
Well, that`s what I know.
