New airline in Brazil?
Good News!

broadreach ;
I don't want to be picky , but I think others will appreciate at least a quick "version" in English.
I think if this new company maybe inspired in others "low fares" in the US and here in Europe. The most notable example is (still) EasyJet , it's a "no-frill" airline and their prices are very good.....if you be careful enough to buy it antecipated.(some time ago they were offering AMS-LTN(london) for +-US$ 30,00 (a flight time equivalent to the RIO-SAO airbridge) But you go squeezed inside a 737-300 with 149 seats (just to compare look at the RG and TR seat configuration before Business Class was introduced in domestic flights)and you pay for everything else.....but if you consider it is just one hour flight...it may be more than worhty.
I hope that this goes on....is more jobs and alternatives to the pax.

Ok, now it's in Rumours&News. Grupo Constantino de Oliveira own Breda, Viacao Jaragua and many other bus lines both municipal and long distance.
However, the most curious thing I discovered during the search on Altavista was a treatise on Santos Dumont. What's the connection with a bus company, you ask? Well just look it up for yourselves! And see who signs it.

Coincidence? Hmmm..

Does anyboduy out there know what kind of recruitmnet this GOL airline is or will be doing, like who to talk to, min experience where to send a cv, etc...My company have just put out 26 B737-300 new copilots on the street because of poor management ( you know someone tells operations they will need 26 more copilots and someone else in another department sends away 5 acfts back to its lessors ). This is not the first time they do it. Back in 1995 we hired 60 new copilots and another enlighted soul never told anybody that the company was terminating its lease on another 5 B737's. So the cake got smaller from them on and we had to share it with 60 more guys; and I don't mean the cake got smaller in terms of acfts. We use to fly too 10 international destinations and now we're down to 3 (4 if u consider EZE without layover as intnt'l).
Well too much for grievance, I just wanted to know about GOL Airlines so I can tell some of this guys that have the acft tkt on hand but no yoke to hold on to.
