Staff ZED tickets on LAN

Hi guys,

I will be traveling around South America on ZED standby tickets with LAN. In particular i will be flying GRU-LIM, LIM-EZE and EZE-GRU.

Does anyone know how easy it will be to get on these flights?

I am trying to avoid traveling on the weekends however i will be trying to get from GRU-LIM on Nov 15th which is Republic Day in Brazil. Should i not even bother?

Thanks for any advice you can give!

Quite hard, even for LAN members, except obviously for flight crew ... plan and reserve in advance, try to talk the captain the day you want to fly to see if he can authorize the jumpseat in case you're going in a full flight, keep your company ID handy.

For the GRU-LIM you only have one flight a day, is a 767 and sometimes can be full, going as final destination SFO. For LIM-EZE and EZE-GRU, there are many freqs, so much easier to get a place or a jumpseat..good luck!!
