Where do you get your intel from?

AFAIK LPE still recruiting expats, it just slowed a little since many local pilots have applied from failing carrier AeroCondor.

I start the 3 day interview process in MIA next week. I'm applying as a DEC. The HR person told me there'll be 16 of us there.

I fly for LPE (4+ years now) and haven't not heard of any recruitment freeze for foreigners. As you can see from flyvargas' post, its full steam ahead. As I said it has slowed a little but the demand for pilots is till very high. Official seniority list runs at 190 pilots in total, there are about 50 in training who will not be listed until they get the company "release", and the aim is 300 pilots by years end. There are slots for 60 more pilots give or take, and there aren't enough pilots in the local market to make up the numbers, hence the expat recruitment.

Saludos,
