Aerolineas Argentinas pilots' strike strands thousands of passengers

BUENOS AIRES, Argentina: Pilots at Argentina's flagship air carrier have walked off the job, suspending international and domestic flights.
Thursday's strike by pilots of Aerolineas Argentinas has stranded thousands of passengers at the Ezeiza International Airport in the capital. Some passengers have been sleeping on floors and others are hastily trying to find flights on other carriers.
Strike leaders say they are demanding better work conditions for pilots.

Is Not A Strike
This is not a pilots strike. The opr mgr left his possition, and according to the Arg Aeronautics Code and our reglamentation, a regular company can not operate in the country without a opr mgr. I repeat, this is not a strike. Newspapers and TV show the issue as a Pilot strike, but it is not.

It was not a Pilot's strike
Ops Mngr resigned and the airline was left with no one responsible for the flights. According to the local laws, they are not allowed to fly if no one is responsible for the operations (literally someone who can sign the documentation).
The local media is conspirating against the pilots (or pilots union) hence the Title: Pilots Strike again... (they are guilty of leaving thousands of people strand at the airport... making everybody life's so misserable!! and bla bla bla) Of course someone is taking advantage of this...
