Air Jam ?
Greendot:
Im not sure if Air J will be hiring f/o's for the Airbus 320/321's since IF they definitely get rid of their A-340's all those pilots will be moving back to the A-320 fleet. Heard they are looking for ATR 42 & 72 pilots to start a regional to go back and forth between Montego Bay & Kingston, maybe other close destinations. Do not know HR #, but Reservations is 800-523-5585.
Maybe they can point you in right direction.
Good Luck.

What happened to their DHC8s that they got back from ECX? These used to do the Montego Bay- Kingston shuttle after they got rid of the Shorts. Do they still have a couple of Twin Otters doing the north coast shuttle?

Air Jamaica
Sorry but Air Jamaica gave back the Dash 8's a while ago from ECX and the Twin Otters also went the way of the Do Do Bird. Since Air J Express was privately owned, their operation was shut down when the Gov't took back control of Air Jamaica at the end of 2004. Gov't in their short sightedness didn't see the need to have a regional turbo prop operation and instead found it better to run A-320, 321, and 340's back and forth accross the Island. Just shows the wonderfull efficiency of Gov't control, doesn't it ? Now, they are looking to start another prop op using ATR's, when they could have kept Air J Express ( which was doing quite well )
operating between Kingston & Montego Bay, and other short hop destinations and let the Airbuses do what they were meant to do.
