Currently you have to be a Uruguayan citizen, though I believe that Pluna management want to get the governemnt to change that.

Pluna has just received the first two CRJ 900 Next Gen brand new from the factory. There are 7 due to be in service by Jan 2009. They will get rid of other a/c (722, 723 & 757) by then. They also have options on 8 more CRJ and plan to grow from one 767 now to 6 in future. This means they will need more crew and will not be able to get them locally due to being a small country. Hence request to change the law.

I would be very happy to work for them if they give me the chance to live in Punta del Este, the most beautiful women i have ever seen in my life during summer

Could be good ?

I've never visited Punta de Este perhaps it could make the difference. I've heard that one of the CRJ has serious fuel tank problema, so it has been grounded. Uruguay is not a good place to fly in. I flew there a couple of times. Bad comm's, No procedures... No ATC...

Uruguay is a great place to live, been down there 15 years.Presently the crews that used to fly the 767 to Madrid are re training on the CRJ,some left to go to Lan Peru.I dont believe there is a shortage of crews at the moment, but that may change i suppose as and when new aircraft arrive.I worked with the old Pluna when we leased some DC8 aircraft to them many years ago and my wife worked 21 years with them.Used to be a really good company, brilliant pilots and really good in house maint.I have to make it clear i am not a pilot but used to work in Maint.work now as tech rep for a leasing company.

I would suggest Argentina if you liked the hot girls in Punta since that is where they are probably from. Punta del Este becomes an extension of Buenos Aires during the christmas break (DEC-MAR). It is THE vacation spot for the middle upper and upper class of Buenos Aires. I've been there in the off season too. Not that interesting and kind of cold.

Not to say Uruguayas are not good looking, but the ratio of hot/non hot girls really goes down when the break ends. Clouds come in, it gets cold, and it rains until they come back the following season.
