I know that COPA Airlines and the SIPAC agreed to go back to the bargaining table, even though the collective agreement had a few years of life left in it, to renegotiate a better package overall in attempt to stem the flow of pilots to various airlines in Asia. Don't know if they have sealed the deal though.
COPA is in a growth stage, and the hemorage of pilots (who have had enough and see much better opportunities abroad) does not work well to their plans.
It will be interesting how this falls on the membership. In the past, COPA was in the position most employers desire, namely the one that can be summed up with "when you have them by their balls, their hearts and minds will follow" because COPA pilots only held Panamanian licences, and no green cards. Now, this no longer matters.
