Flying over the Panama Canal
Hi guys,
I can't see any restricted airspace over the Panama Canal on the VFR charts I have, but are there any restrictions on flying over it that someone knows of?
We are coming from Europe, so we don't have the AIP on hand at the moment, just the JeppView charts.
Cheers

While the Panama Canal was under US Control, I believe there was more Restricted Airspace over the Panama Canal (in part also because it overlapped their military bases). I remember overflying the Panama Canal a few thousand feet up, and I don't believe there are any further restrictions over overflying the Canal other than the normal distance from obstacle and built-up area requirements. If it is sightseeing you are after, there isn't much in the way of regulations that will frustrate your plans.
