Iberia kills Miami hub
Not too surprising, but Iberia has made it official that it is ending its Miami - Central America flights.

IBERIA
Even though it looks like American will be the most benefited with the measure. Latin Airlines will at least pick up some of the Central America- Miami only traffic.

Sad to see Iberia go. While the pilots are all spaniards from Iberia, the FAīs are a distinct group and will be looking for work elsewhere.
I just went through Miami last Saturday. TWO HOURS to get through Immigration and Customs just to connect on the flight from Europe to Central America!!! And this after being already some 26 hours in travel!!! No wonder people are complaining!!!
I commented to the two Jamaican ladies in front of me-- a country that put man on the moon back in the 1960īs canīt flow people more efficiently through on international connections!!! The Europeans, in comparison, have it figured out like a science.
