I've had a few reports of this around London recently, from 7000' and about 1200'.
Police helicopter was very helpful in coming to have a look round but the perpetrators had stopped by the time they arrived on scene. I'd be interested to know how much of a distration these lasers are.

Yipes, now it's happening in my neighbourhood! There have been quite a few laser incidents reported on this site. You might want to do a search.
