Sorry to bring this up again, but does anyone have any info on what kind of time there looking at right now?

Is anyone with less then 3000hrs getting a call?(without dash 8 time)

Not yet, but wait a couple months, it will happen soon enough.

A coworker:

1600 Hours
800 single PIC
800 multic SIC

That's a little odd. Very much unlike what I've heard so far in the groundschools. Don't get me wrong...very good for them. Did your co-worker only get an interview or did he/she get hired? Also, is that turbine time? Must've had a real good contact.

Just wondering if they are hiring these new hires on the RJ only?? If they are hiring in the Dash why is that so wierd? everywhere else in the world to fly a Dash or equivelant you would not need very much experience at all. ;)

Its not weird from a ability level. Its just a matter of excessive pilot suppy. This is resulting in guys that have a great deal of hours and experiance. People with 250 hours can fly Dash 8's and Boeing etc with proper training. But why hire a low timer if you can get 3000-5000 hour pilots with vast experience on all kinds of equipment? Imgine if you where the guy getting over looked for someone that was where you where 5 years ago. It is an unfourtunate reality. Net-working and birth right are the key to this rat race.

Isn't Jazz supposed to take delivery of around new 50 planes this year? They will be discarding some CRJ's but will have quite a net increase in aircraft
