There’s a reason Canada’s largest OEM has its demo fleet in the US and on the N reg. New models were imported and put under N reg the day after the FAA TC was issued.

Just make sure to buy an aircraft manufactured before 2019. Import into Alberta to avoid PST (You will need an Alberta address).

Thumbs up Luxury Tax Dropped on Aircraft and Boats

It remains on cars over $100K, which makes some sense as there's more revenue potential and not as many claiming a driving school exemption

I suspect the LT on aircraft and boats led to some employment loss in aircraft and marine support businesses when buyers began basing aircraft and boats in the US – plus more bureaucracy hours spent chasing limited revenue.
