Private Flying in Canada - Info Requested
Hello, I am a private pilot based in Sydney Australia. I'm visiting Kelowna and Vancouver towards the end of March and would like love to organise a little flying when I'm there.
Looking at renting a plane and an instructor to do a flight of approx. 1hr somewhere land and maybe have a bite to eat then head home. (leave the route to you guys)
One flight in Kelowna and one in Vancouver
I do not have a float plane endorsement but would love to left hand seat if at all possible with the instructor taking over as necessary.
If anyone can help or suggest someone that is able to please let me know.

Float flying is best done on the central BC lakes, (no logs, which are known to be in the Fraser River nearer Vancouver). Air-Hart in Kelowna is worth an inquiry:

For wheels rental, inquire at Pitt Meadows, or Boundary Bay. Pitt is further east, which keeps you a little farther away from busy YVR controlled airspace. Great sightseeing on a clear day (hold out for the good weather day). You can fly to Chilliwack for lunch, or Hope for even more scenery. If you fly from Boundary Bay, beautiful scenery out toward Vancouver Island. There are website links for schools at each airport.
Last week's test flying north of Vancouver, I never tire of looking at the mountains....

You'll have no problem finding a wheel plane to rent at Boundary Bay or Pitt Meadows. If you can't make arrangements with Air-Hart for a floatplane, PM me, I'll ask around for you....
