The Shepherd

Good Afternoon All:

As we come into the Christmas season I came across this 1957 radio broadcast on YouTube which is from the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation "The Shepherd-Fredick Forsyth- read by Alan Maitland.

It is a wonderful story about 35 minutes so grab a port or other favourite beverage and enjoy.

To all those active service personnel and veterans thank you for giving us the freedoms we enjoy today

Merry Christmas

If you have an Internet radio (or you are in Newfoundland) it's on at 22:30z on CBC One St Johns (or just after).

Piperp2,
Nick1's CBC YouTube link still works - I'm listening to it now. Got to love Nationally supported media.

Tasmin -think you will find it was the good shepherd who was flying the Mosquito bomber that guided the lost lone pilot in the Vampire back to land safely on an airfield in Norfolk (England) after the Vampire pilot was lost over the North Sea with no communications---and if I recall correctly on landing at the disused airfield was allocated a room in the Officers Mess -transpired it had been the room of the Mosquito pilot who had led him home --
