New Employee at Transport Canada

Just recieved the " paid invoice" for my last medical from TC, enclosed was a letter threatning doom and destruction should I neglect to pay the $55 procesing fee, {as this was in fact a recipt showing I have already paid its obvious that TC doesnt understand standard book keeping practices} but the name at the bottom of the letter was "Transport Canada Collections" which strikes me as a bit of a strange name for a person to say the least! There was an invitation to phone this person if I had any questions, so I did, and as usuall was directed into the never ending voice mail round of civil service avoidence manouvers. What a joke TC has become!

Not to worry, Boy Trudeau will sort that out quicker than you can say "25,000 refugees."

If Canada were up to the level of a third world country the citizens would revolt.

However they have brain washed this generation to the point submissiveness to abuse of power is a normal reaction.

Remember George Orwell?

There's going to be a huge amount more of such stupid fees in the coming 5 years........ Remember, jacking up taxes and fees is so much easier for these clowns than cutting costs or implementing efficiencies.

Our QC operation has just been advised that their are being audited by, wait for it, a QC Govt gender pay equality body!!!! I kid you not!!!!! That's on top of about 20 other federal, provincial and municipal outfits that appear to exist solely to make work for the unemployable.

(Does everyone in QC work for the government???)

"Work for the Government?" Hardly, they put in time, but few of them really "work". If they do the end result is certainly not good for Canada or aviation, the "Aviation Document" AKA Pilot Lic being a clasic example!

Most federal employees are in the lower levels, such as clerks. I think they work. Weather forecasters work. Coast Guard employees work. Soldiers work.

clunkdriver's long and tiresome grievance with federal, provincial and municipal and unionized employees sounds more and more like some ill-founded jealousy.
Just an observation.

evansb, you couldnt be farther from the truth if you tried, firstly our LOCAL municipal employees are a fine bunch, that goes for the large number of volenteer employees we need to keep our small comunities from getting into the same financial mess that the Feds are in, do DO NOT atribute sentiments to me which are so far from fact as to be almost slanderous! No, my bitch is with the "New TC" bunch in Ottawa, and the majority of civil servants we have dealt with over the years, during the 26 years we owned our companies we employed around 6oo or so employees, we had to fire five, not bad really, BUT four of these are with TC now behaving like little demi gods, the reasons fo fireing went from child molesting to not reporting a damaged aircraft, we have been harased by the CRA who phoned our house up to fifteen times a day, they were totally wrong in their acusations and have now been proven wrong and have to now pay us the money have been owed for seven years, but no apologies even though our acountant says they raised incompetance "to an art form" were they in private industry they would be fired, and how about a recently retired TC employee lying to the TSB and stating that the aircraft he wrecked didnt have a parking brake and not getting nailed by TC enforcement for lying to the TSB?are these the wonderfull servants of the common folk you make them out to be? Lets not even go into the use of sick days,! Living close to Ottawa is a revelation, when youg folks mention to us that they would like to start their own companies I simply show then our files ilustrating how most of the government employees we delt with behaved,{ with a FEW notable exceptions} each one then decides not to be an entrepenur IN CANADA, we just lost two more talented youg folks and two companies to the USA, it will only continue untill there is a major house cleaning in the so called civil service! So evansbob, enjoy you drive home to Kanata, there are enough like minded drones living around you to keep you living in your world of dedicated government employees, such as they are!

During my fifty two year career as a pilot/mechanic in aviation I was never taken advantage of by common criminals in any of the sixty or so countries I flew and worked in.

However in Canada TCCA did unlawfully ruin me and my flying business.

I have no problem posting this because I can show legal proof that they did and they still owe me $250.000 that was awarded to me for their illegal actions.
