There is, however as one of my fellow pilots pointed out that as you claim to be a 777 pilot he views your question with deep mistrust as in your position you would certainly know how to do such a simple exercise on your computer, if you indeed dont know how to do this, any of your airlines ticket agents Im sure would help you out, Good luck with the loads!

I've found that it depends on whether or not the individual airline prompts you with a seat selection map when you try to make a reservation on their website. Just remember that this info is sometimes not all that accurate for nonrev seat availability as some airlines (eg Delta) sell tickets without a seat assignment. (HK or HK1 designation)
Often a call to reservations explaining that you're an OAL Standby SA or ZED fare passenger will get you the load info if the res agent happens to be in a good mood.
I try to call them during off peak hours when they're not busy.

Thanks for your useless response to my question. If you had no intension of helping then you should have said nothing!
Wanabee777.
Hope you get to fly it, I've been on it a long time now and it's a great machine.
Thank you.
I've been in the industry for many years but just needed advise, fortunately a Canadian friend of mine knew someone one the inside who found out the loads.

Well Puffy, you certainly are a master at CRM, however if you thought about my friends discomfort with some person claiming to be a triple seven driver who didnt know how to check pax loads then you might understand that you post smacked of a "fishing" trip by someone wanting to prove how ABC Airlines dont have secure pasenger lists, further more ,if you have managed to get a "Good Guy" to obtain the information and are indeed fishing, then well done, you have proved your point! BTW, there is a case under investigation right now involving an employee passing such information to the media, in this case for financial gain. Hope youe daughter has a nice trip!

"Such information" is not proprietary and widely available. Load info is not the same as "passenger lists".
Some airlines (but not AC) list load info in real-time directly on their website for all to see. Any travel agent can look up loads, and any Joe Public can subscribe to various web/mobile "road-warrior" travel apps with load info, for a minimal fee.

peekay4, you are correct about there being a vast difference between load information and pasenger lists, in the case before the courts at this time more than just numbers were aparently being passed along to a third party, for what reason I dont know, but suspect its related to tracking some buisines rivals.
