Depends on how much money you have.
If you have the entire cost of pilot training up front (depending on the school, around CAD$80,000 - $100,000) then you can realistically do it inside of about 10 - 12 months.
If you do not have the entire cost of pilot training up front, then you can divide those numbers by however much money you can throw at pilot training per month, and you'll get your answer.

I started Nov 1, and had the commercial flight test in April, I think. Did the IFR in june/july, and spent the next 8 years gettting a job at a company that didn't go TU in 4 months.
