Angel Saving the Canadian Air Cadet program

Many pilots have had initial flying experience with the Air Cadets and now we find out that the PC Government is planning to cut the program as of September 1, 2013.
Since keeping our youth challenged and occupied and giving them practical hands on experience in aviation, this government thinks it is a waste of money and budgets are withdrawn.
If anything is more worth while keeping, it is this type of aviation program !
Please take a little time to sign the petition and help our youth in their early life's character building;

Yankee Whiskey, Its my understanding that the program is simply being moved to civilian controll, staffed by volenteers , much like the UK. The reason given is that the military {in true peactime fashion }has developed an expensive and bloated administrative "tail" which now wags the dog, if this is not the case then many of us ex cadets/RCAF would welcome a clarification, Thanks!
