Air Canada Ranked Best International Airline in North America in Global Industry Survey
Skytrax Passengers Choice award based on responses of 18.8 million travellers
MONTREAL, June 22, 2011 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada has been ranked 'Best International Airline in North America' in a worldwide survey of 18.8 million air travelers as announced at the Skytrax World Airline Awards at the Paris Air Show. The Passengers Choice survey was conducted by the independent research firm Skytrax between July 2010 and May 2011 using over 38 different aspects of passenger satisfaction to rank airlines' product and service standards. This annual survey is regarded in the air transportation industry as a primary benchmarking tool for passenger satisfaction levels of airlines throughout the world.

Yobbo it's Skytrax rates airlines actually fairly accurate if you assume Cathy is really a 5 star airline and Qantas is a 4 star AC only gets a 3 star rating happy now .

That's good to hear - but the bar as many have pointed out to me already isn't that high with the likes of US/United/Continental, AA, etc being the comparison.
AC FAs get a lot of flak for not being customer focused - and on a trip as SLF to EGLL the other week, the outbound cabin service was really appalling - made the old Transat service from years ago look good in comparison - and I was embarrassed. However - coming into CYYZ it was great and the crew incredible.
Biggest issue AC faces right now is simply FA attitude and performance consistency as the respective products are pretty much up to muster with other carriers.

The judges clearly never went anywhere near that p1ss and sh1t-stained excuse of an ancient 767 that limped from LHR to YYZ earlier this month after a hideous 7-hour delay at LHR, during which time EVERY AC employee went into hiding.
