Air Transat Layoffs
Air Transat last week were anticipating 200 FA layoffs for this winter having previoulsy stated to the employee's that there would be no layoffs.
Today they have announced that there will be no layoffs as they recieved enough volunteers for miniblocks, 1-4 months leave.
Looking at some of there comments on other sites i would say there is a bad vibe going around at TS, an air of uncertancy.
With Thomas Cook taking over there Winter flights out of the UK and a lot of next summers flights too along with the recent code share agreement with Canjet.

I hope not, with ZOOM dead and Globespan only seasonal, TS is the only way for me to get back to the U.K cheaply from Toronto. If they go under I can expect to pay more than double for my flights with the AC/BA duopoly, the only competition then will be from Air India (Toronto/Gatwick).
