hmm... you can't figure out what he is refering to when using the word "flaying". Who is the ignorant one? someone who is making a good attempt at writing in a second or third language, or the person who jumps all over them for a small grammar mistake. I am a little miffed at thread after thread degrading into bashing those who can't write perfectly in English. I personally find it quite commendable learning and using a second language. Just my opinion though.

Thread creep...
The guy just wants someone to help out his parents. Cut him some slack.
EK is pretty good about helping out those who require assistance, and will no doubt have someone on board who speaks their native tounge.
That being said, I think that it's a strange place to be looking fo ra passenger travelling on a particular flight who is willing to agree to help a couple of strangers on a ULR flt with a connection to Jingly.
There is also the ICE system which has more than enough channels showing movies in a dozen or more languages.
They won't need anyone to "keep them company".
The Dubai connection will be seem just like home anyway.

he means flailing
He means his parents are being flailed in Dubai and wants help from someone.
I can understand his concern. It is a crime in most countries. Maybe it is the same sheikh that failed that Pakistani guy who stole some grain from him. It was on NBC. Terrible thing.
Have they been stealing any grain that you know of?
My suggestion is try the FBI?

Seems this habit of demeaning others is a Canadian thing when it comes to aviation, could it be because of a lack of self confidence due to ignorance passed on by their peers?

Don't you mean 'there', that's how it's usually done on pprune.
there: At or in that place: sit over there.
their: Used as a modifier before a noun: their accomplishments; their home town; their peers.
If you are going to be a prick at least be right! I don't get it anymore? Can't we drop this kinda crap! All you guys! and stop hi-jacking some guy looking for a hand with a few spelling errors............
I'm with Cat... web forum frustation building... maybe time to swear off 'em...
sorry if I'm just missing some kinda sarcasm or something... I don't get it...

I am at a loss to understand how anyone can be just plain cruel to someone asking for help for his /her parents altiplano, what is happening to society that it is getting this low?
Could it be these people are living in a vacuum due to having never looked outside their insular little worlds?
It is nothing less than disgusting.

On the other hand this is a typical Indian 'cadge'... If the ol' folks can afford to travel on EK from YYZ to AMD they could probably spend a night in a hotel in DXB to give themselves a break... but no, some peckerwood whiner wants special treatment fer his ol' folks, 'cause... well why exactly?
Everybody knows the Indians use 'wheelchair' needs in order to receive special attention. 'specially at EK. 170 able bodied Indians board in BOM for a 4:45 flight to DXB and at top of descent the Purser requests 17 wheelchairs... a sudden onset of that crippling Indian phenomenon "Attention Seeking Behaviour" disorder... a nice push through OMDB hallways instead of walking like the rest of the folks. Pathetic.
If the seniors in question 're that indisposed due to age or infirmity, why would any sane person subject them to the rigours of long haul flying in the first place? If you really care, send them by by another method. Don't be so disengenuous and quit the solicitation for sympathy.
In addition, all carriers - IATA especially - cater superbly for wheelchair bound passengers - (genuine and the fakers) - this post is pathetic and don't belong here on this site.

Aw, com'on Canadians... Is there a single post on this thread, whose author would present as meeting the measure of "professional", as the website name suggests? Those posts seem somewhat embarrasing....

In reading this I see a child, no idea how old, but regarless of our ages we are all the sons and daughters of parents, asking for help for his parents? thats it, thats all.
For others to then comment on his spelling skills, the reasons behind this, the country where they are going to is nothing more then pathetic small minded drivel of like minded minds.
While some of you see yourselves as professionals, those who have take a run at the writer are neither professionals or likley memebers of the human race.
I just wish I had my parents around so I could ask for some help for them.

or...the offended could do some research, other than a "rumors" blog where most advice is skewed by nature, and figure it out on their own.
just got done "body guarding" my 'rents on a trip overseas.
went right to the handling airline for advice/guidance, before hand, of course (no brainer).
that way, everything's in writing and it reduces the "i told you so" events that occur when someone accepts someone else's ill-advised advice.
i hope you feelings weren't hurt.
somewhere, there's a shoulder for you to cry on...
next time that you get stuck on a broken escalator, and don't know what to do, other than walking up the newly-formed stairs, call someone who could talk you throught the process and hold your hand at the same time.
