Skyservice Winter 2009/2010

Skyservice Airlines announces full winter 2009 - 2010 flying schedule for largest customers

- Eight aircraft each for Sunquest Vacations and Signature Vacations

- Eighth winter flying season for Signature Vacations; Fifteenth for
Sunquest Vacations

- Union leadership recognized for contribution to maintaining and
enhancing Skyservice Airlines' competitive position

TORONTO, May 13 /CNW/ - Skyservice Airlines today announced a full 2009 -
2010 winter flying schedule with its two largest customers. The company will
operate eight aircraft for Sunquest Vacations and another eight for Signature
Vacations, all serving traditional southern sun destinations.
Fundamental to Skyservice Airlines' success in signing this business was
a cooperative approach by its stakeholders to maintaining and enhancing the
carrier's competitive position.
Skyservice Airlines President and CEO Rob Giguere said: "While the media
is full of bad news about airline overcapacity and financial losses,
Skyservice Airlines employees have worked together as a team to ensure that
our company continues to win its customers' business and their continuing
confidence."
"The Skyservice Pilot's Association of Canada (SkyPAC) and the Skyservice
Cabin Crew Association have participated in changes that have improved our
competitive position," Giguere said. "We have concluded positive labour
agreements that are good for our company, our customers and in turn our
employees."
Captain Fred Ambs, President of SkyPAC, added: "All Skyservice Airlines'
employees benefit from a strong and competitive company and we can all take
pride in our roles in working together toward that goal."
During the winter season, Skyservice Airlines employs approximately 165
pilots, 600 cabin crew and 120 aircraft maintenance mechanics, as well as more
than 300 staff in other functions.
These winter flying contracts will mark the eighth year Skyservice has
served Signature Vacations and the fifteenth year serving Sunquest. The
company's 2009 summer schedule will see four aircraft and crews based in
Europe and two aircraft based in Canada.

Maybe they'll let the Brits have Montreal,

Then you get access to skiing in the Laurentians or New York state (not the rockies mind you), great restaurants and a great cultural scene.

Yeah Montreal will be an option but likely only for Airbus pilots. That will probably be the place to be given the choices.
