FAA to Canadian Conversion
I would like to convert my FAA certificate to a Canadian ATPL and I have read through the process online but I am curious if anyone on the board has any experience in doing it. Are there testing centers outside of Canada for the written exam? What is the best material to study to prepare for the exam?

The hardest part is figuring out what to study. Difficult to find any specifics. Get the canadian aim. It will have all the answers. From what I can remember-rest requirements, airspace, um.....dang it. That's all I can remember. Take the test....fail it....take it again......pass.

There are study guides out of Canada that cover the material. I purchased one from Accelerated Aviation. It was not cheap but it is a mere pittance compared to doing the GS for JAA ATPL. I believe for an ATP FAA to ATP CAN you only need to read and understand chapter one which is about 56 pages. You may also want to purchase the sample tests.
