As of today ROOTS AIR have signed up a deal with ALASKA AIRlines to share airmile plans this is intergrated with other Carriers like
AA etc according to Yahoo Finance

Good for Roots. Let's hope they go all the way and wind up joining "oneworld". It seems daft to me that all the charter carriers are scrambling to get signed up so their passengers can claim "aeroplan" points on non Air Canada services. Having only one frequent flyer program in Canada does little to help with the lack of competition in the market. I think it would be interesting if the Canadian charter outfits got together and created their own frequent flyer program. Just a thought though....
