Basically you are going to need a work visa. But first a Job Validation Sheet is required from Human Resources Canada before the visa is issued. The company will have to show that they have advertised for the position in Canada and prove that no Canadian is qualified for the position first. This is the tough part as you know that this country has an enormous abundunce of pilots.
If no Canadian is available, then they will issue the Job Validation Sheet and shortly after, the actual Visa. The Validation process will take up to three months. By the way, where are you from and how much time do you have?
Good Luck

Gnote... thanks for that, I think they looked down that road a little and had little luck with HR Canada. As for me I am a 320 skipper with about 4000 on type and looking for somewhere nice to settle with the family.
Is there a web site or a point of contact with HR Canada that I might try??
Thanks for the tips..

Hey Silky, I know from past experiences it is up to the company to contact the HR folks.... in particular the Foreign Workers dept. and they will go through the motions of advertising for the position e.t.c.. You don't actually contact them yourself (I found this out the hard way)..but this was a couple of years ago so things may have changed. Here are some numbers.
Human Resources - (780)495-6802 note: this number is for the offices in Edmonton, Alberta but they will have all the info for you. Their website is www.hrdc.gc.ca
Citizenship and Immigration - 1-888-242-2100 I am sure these folks can answer some questions for you.
All the best and keep me posted.

Silky,
If your plans are to move to Canada, you might like to give a look at the Government web page:

Good luck
