Hi Ladies and Gents
What's the chances of me (an aussie) scoring some type of sponsorship or work visa to work in that lovely country of yours?
Here's my details:
3250hrs TT (3100 Command)
1500 Multi
500 hrs Command Kingair 200
Extensive Charter/Scheduled and aeromedical experience, worked in Aust and Africa.
Aussie ATPL and FAA ATPL.
Pretty keen to do anything, just interested in being legal there for a few years while I see the place.

You didn't mention how old you are. If you're under 30, then you can get a holiday work visa. Allows you to work for short periods of time while you are on holiday. First you will have to do a licence conversion, after that, you can then look for a job. I have a feeling you may have a hard time getting someone to sponsor you to come over to work. For the immigration info try going to Immigration Canada's web site, it may be able to handle the technical type questions.

Unfortuneately most countries make you jump through hoops in order to work there. I had a ton of them to convert my Canadian licence to the Aussie one. I also had to go through the Immigration paperwork, luckily my wife is an Aussie, so that made things easier.
