Post Calgary Road Trip

I'm an 1100 hour pilot planning a trip to Calgary to look for an FO job in the oilfields.

Does anyone have any recommendations of who to talk to, who to avoid, and where to stay?

My list so far: Sunwest, Borek, Peace Air (yes, I know they are in Grande Prairie), North American Airlines, Corporate Express, Alta Flights and Accent Aviation.

Any Calgary PPRuNers want to meet up?

I would first contact the chief pilots of the companies that you listed first and try and set up an appointment with them. Most of the companies that you listed do not allow "pop-ins" and getting by the receptionist is going to be tough. Peace
Air is located in Peace River and not Grande Prarie.

Good Luck

Don't allow drop-ins? Most helicoper companies will at least give you a coffee (if you supply the doughnuts ). Is it really that bad?

You won't get away with it as I'm in Edmonton for a while and will track you down
