Post Knighthawk

I was wondering if anyone has any information (minimum times, pay, hours worked, routes...etc) on Knighthawk Air Express. I checked out their web site but they don't have any minimums stated for first officers.

Many thanks for any info.

1500-2000 hrs.for the Falcon, if it's quality time( ME IFR PIC 2crew). King Air would be fine. ~1000 for the 1900. Pay is 32k for f/o, 43k for Capt.(1900 38k&29k) ~700 flt.hrs./year
lots of time away from home. maximum length duty days. ~160-170 duty hours/month, with numerous weekends and two week pairings away from base. No credit for time away from base. Two year
$20 000 (that's right 20k) training bond.Flying is CYYT,CYQM,CYUL,CYMX,CYYZ,CYWG,CYQR,CYYC AND KILN(Wilmington, Ohio for Airborne Express).

Thumbs up

Many thanks chapola! You seem to know a lot about them. Did you work for them at one point? What are the upgrades times like and does it go from right to left seat on the 1900 then the Falcon? Many thanks once again.

Candidates are hired for either the Falcon or 1900. Depending on requirements. Qualifications as previosly stated. Progression is from right to left seat based on seniority as long as the candidate is qualified and deemed ready. 1900 pilots are considered for the Falcon if they are interested and usually must have flown one year on the 1900. The training bond is the same for either type and a new bond is entered when switching types. Because of the present state of hiring in the industry, upgrades may soon come between 3 and 6 months. Historically upgrades came with attrition, which made it any where from 9 months to 2 years. As long as the present industry hiring trend continues, upgrades will continue to happen quickly.

Chapola, thanks for your info once again as you have certainly been most helpful. As for your comments, Canadian aviation sure has changed over the last year and all for the better. I certainly agree with your last post and will edit the previous one.
