Post WIll are the chances of getting a job in Canadian Air/Air Canada with a JAR-ATPL?

Thinking of getting my JAR-ATPL at BAE Jerez, Spain. What are my chances of getting a job with the two major airlines. How long will it take to be a FO if I can get in at all. Do I have to fly domestic first or is it al random. I am a PR with an honors degree. What is the pay-scale like anyway? Thanks. I am asian by the way.

To be considered for a pilot position in any airline in Canada, you need a Canadian ATPL with minimum 3000 to 5000 hrs (depending on the carrier) with loads of multi turbine time. Almost all the pilot hired have done other flying e.g. corporate, regional, charters e.t.c. Hope this helps.
