Euros and "finals"

I'm wondering why all the euro's on this site refer to the final approach segment as "finals". Of course, in Canada we correctly refer to it as "final" or "turning final" or "intercept the final approach course" etc.

What's with the S? Plural? Sounds pretty goofy to me.

hey I think you mey have a point with the flattening out, the a/c that I fly doesn't really get to toc above 300, it just sort of flattens out, but we still call it toc though

It`s our language therefore how we choose to use it, by default, has to be correct.
