Question Private Flying in Canada

Hi, I'm shortly going to Cold Lake for a couple of weeks on the Maple Flag exercise. Two questions.

1. I have both UK and FAA PPLs. How easy is it to covert to a Canadian PPL? Or can I use my FAA PPL in Canada?

2. Is there a flying club near Cold Lake that has aircraft for rent?

Cheers.

It is quite easy to get a temporary visitors licence so that you can fly while in Canada. Unfortunately I am in Europe and do not have any phone numbers for you. You can look up Transport Canada on the net to find the appropriate info and numbers. Enjoy!!

You can convert either one of your licences. It is almost a straight conversion provided you have the times and the medical met. You can look up Transport Canada at www.tc.gc.ca

Good luck!

There is a flying club at the civilian airport in Cold Lake.
