Its probably just an old rumor or someone's wishful thinking or slip of the tongue misinterpreted on someone's part...IMHO, if there is any truth in it at all, it most likely would be a code sharing agreement of some type probably not involving any AC crews or aircraft.

This rumour may stem from an add taken out in a Montreal newspaper around Christmas.. .Some sort of start-up or offshore company was advertising for Flight attendants. It went on to state that the route structure would reach from Montreal to various parts of French speaking west Africa, Le Cote d'Ivoire, Dakar etc.. .I don't know what became of the plan...

It was supposed to be called "Canada Air Charter". Nothing to do with Air Canada. The rumor was that they were to wet lease one B747, and one B767, from Air Atlanta.. .It's been on the quiet side for a while, though.. .Cheers!!!

Thank you everyone. Seems there maybe something in the rumour even if it is not AC. Will keep a eye out for more and if anyone hears something maybe you could be good enough to post something.
