New Cargo Carrier
I heard on the news today that there is a new upstart Canadian cargo carrier. Unfortunately, that's all I heard....does anyone else have any tangible information on this...?? <img src="eek.gif" border="0">

I have to agree with Papertiger....."WHY"?....If there was an abundance of freight to be moved in Canada, why wouldn't one of the established contenders be moving it? ICC and ACE have a few machines parked, and looking for work.
Jabewar, C3 cargo is flown by ACE, which just renewed there contract with C3 cargo inc.

Canada 3000 Cargo Announced Acquisition of Canada 3000 Cargo Inc. Paves Way for Creation of “Canada’s Cargo Airline” . .Ajay Virmani, President & CEO of Canada 3000 Cargo Inc. and Flagship International Marketing Ltd., said yesterday that plans are being finalized to unveil “Canada’s Cargo Airline” along with its new corporate identity and list of officers at a private celebration on February 21, 2002 in Toronto. . .The new company, controlled by Ajay Virmani, has completed the acquisition of Canada 3000 Cargo Inc., Canada’s only all-cargo airline, and is presently servicing the Canadian market with four B727-200 freighters, one B737 freighter, two Beech 99 aircraft, and one Metro II aircraft, for a total fleet of eight on a wet-lease basis. Not sure what to make of that, as I said C3 cargo is still operating right now as a General Sales Agent. ACE is moving their domestic transcon stuff, the 99's are sub contracted by PE Air or someone out east I believe. Not sure where the metro is.
I don't think this amounts to 8 new ie. not currently operating a/c. I think it is just a marketing and reorganization type thing. But maybe I'm wrong!
