Bobbie ho-ho used to joke that "everyone has worked for NWTAir". I used to work for them from 75-79. The longest, yet most educational and professionally developmental years of my life.
I never worked so physically hard, for such a diverse range of captains, for such long hours, for so little pay; yet to look back on it, I went places I never would have otherwise had a chance to visit.
We covered the north. Only 2 places I never did get to were Grise Fiord and Paulatuk.
But things have changed radically for NWTA. The are First Air now, though still an old boys club to the core.
