Unhappy Now A Bomb Hoax.

What kind of person does this, especially in the current situation with terrorism etc?

A Canadian airliner was redirected and a man briefly detained after a female caller telephoned the airline and accused him of carrying a bomb.

WestJet Airlines Flight 42 from Saskatoon, Saskatchewan to Edmonton, Alberta was carrying 124 passengers and six crew members when it was sent back to Saskatoon.

Eight fire trucks and eight police cruisers - including a bomb squad - encircled the Boeing 737 after it landed.

A 20-year old man was arrested but was later released with no charges, however the female caller had been identified and might face charges.

The flight continued on to Edmonton after police searched the plane and the man's luggage.

Charges will be laid http://www.ctvnews.ca/content/sitesections/1/835619.asp

Not to worry though, all she has to do is say she's really, really sorry and one of our clueless, doddery judges will hand out a suspended sentence.

I dunno PaperTiger. While Canada CAN be lienient on offenders, Sept 11th has had a deep impact on how much one will stand for. I think the "making an example" will rule out here. Even our pilots are getting rigid and calling for more drunk and disorderlys to be deplaned!
No more bullsh!t is the message in all cases!

Hope you're right locky, but I have my doubts. Sad thing is we'll probably never know unless someone scours the Saskatoon paper for the result. Which should be in a couple of years
