If you look up their website you should be able to find a list of JAA approved doctors. Good luck!

When I renewed my CAA medical, I searched for the info online, and found a doctor in Battle Creek, MI and another one at the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. With the total cost, I could have flown to the UK and had it done at the CAA for about the same price, including the cost of the airline ticket!

Unless things have changed recently, the initial medical must be done in a JAA country. I am assuming you are going through the UK, so you would have to book yourself a medical at the Gatwick Aeromedical Center. Go to the CAA website for contact details. It is approximately 300 GB Pounds. The renewals can be done anywhere. I use Dr. Knipping in Toronto. I'll have to look up the contact details, but he is on the TC AME list.

Regards

Muddy

I agree with muddy on the inital been done in a JAA country. I did mine in Dublin. You might want to check out Transport Canada's website. I am sure you are familiar with this website if you did your training in canada. There they have a list of all approved aviation doctors in Canada. Check it out, call a few doctors in your area to find out or even better call Transport Canada themselfs. Here is the web site below.

Kind regards,
