Visiting SEP hire Vancouver area?

I'm an Aus (ICAO) PPL holder, planning on visiting vancouver early in 08, predictably I'd like to do some flying while I'm there.

1) Any recommendations on schools / hirers who I should talk to, or particular airfields?

2) Any hints about how easy/not it is to actually reach a point where I would be allowed to fly in Canada?

Thanks,
Mark.

G'Day Mark,

Pretty straight forward for your conversion (as Ive written about before). You will need to do the PPAER exam and the PPL flight test to make sure youre on the ball to Canadian standards. The good news is the exams are computer delievered, so you know your result immediately, and most places have Designate examiners on site.
Have a look at tc.gc.ca for the subject areas for the conversion, but you should be sweet.

As for the Vancouver area, I will leave that to someone with local knowledge cause Im on the opposite end of the country!
